Parsa WildLife Reserve is located in the part of Chitwan, is between Makawanpur, Parsa and Bara districts of central region. The head office of Parsa wildlife reserve is located at Adabar in the Hetauda-Birgunj highway.
The prevailing landscape of the reserve is the Churiya hills that range from 750 m above the sea level to 950 m above the sea level. The reserve has sub-tropical forest. In the Churiya hills and along the streams chir pine grows, Khair, Sissoo and the silk cotton tree, Sabai grass, a commercially important species grow well along the southern face of the Churiya hills.
You can also discover wild elephant, tiger, leopard, sloth bear, gaur, blue bull and wild dog in this reserve and other common animals sambar, chital, hog deer, barking deer, langur, striped hyena, ratel, palm civet and jungle cat and so on. There are nearly 300 species of birds in the reserve, the Giant hornbill, peafowl, red jungle fowl, flycatchers and woodpeckers are a few of the other common birds that are in the reserve. Many kinds of snakes including king cobra, common cobra, krait, rat snake and python are also found in the reserve due to hot tropical climate.
